Puzzle Ball

The first baby toy that I've ever made.  It's a sensory toy that is suppose to be great for babies.  I want to make one for my dog, but I think he will be confused and try to eat the baby's toy too.

I'm a novice at sewing and this was extremely easy to make.  The hardest part was sewing the ball together with the yellow thread.  It was mainly due to the instructions being very difficult to interpret.

In the book, it says that the Puzzle Ball will take 4 to 8 hours.  I was able to cut, sew, stuff and assemble the pieces within 4 hours.  But it took me another 4 hours to figure out how to attach the pieces.  Instead I finally gave up and must made these 'X' stitches to attach, which was a lot faster and easier.  I would make more of these, but maybe as gifts... since a baby only really needs one. :)

"Last-Minute Patchwork & Quilted Gifts", is a great book with fun projects that are easy to make.
